Experts consider that belly dancing is possible the oldest form of dance. It has roots in all ancient cultures from the orient to India to the Middle-Eastern region. Probably the greatest misconception about belly dancing is that it is intended to entertain men. Belly dancing strengthens and defines not only your core, but also every muscle from your neck right down to your calves. It is also beneficial in correcting and/or improving posture and helps to improve self-esteem.
